Shaping the Moment is a process that integrates years of facilitation and training in organizations with personal and community development. Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world”. In order to have community cohesion, good relations among us, taking responsibility for our own actions is essential. It is said we teach what we need to learn.  This is the impetus for Cultivating Friendliness.

Shaping the Moment incorporates learning from Appreciative Inquiry; illustrates the U-process of Sensing, Presencing and Realizing by Otto Scharmer; the Loving Presence work of Hakomi and the authentic improvisation of the Art of Making a True Move by Arawana Hayashi.  Combined with the coaching methods in Body Centered Coaching, Shaping the Moment principal, Joyce Rankin, works with individuals and groups to facilitate the emerging future. This combination of practices in everyday movement, dialogue and reflection helps us generate open-heartedness toward others. Shaping the Moment opens possibilities to cultivate meaningful relations in our life and in the lives of those around us.
